Involvement

TOPIC Southern Africa is engaged in Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The TOPIC Parameters of Affiliation document, ratified at the 2nd International TOPIC Consultation in the Philippines, outlines the convictions, constituencies and processes that indicate TOPIC involvement in a country/region....it basically answers completes the statement, "It is TOPIC if...".

Participation Levels

Training organisations (formal institutions, non-formal training ministries, networks, denominations, pastors' fraternals and others) can connect with TOPIC on any of the following three levels:

Level One
“Information”

“Information” participants are in the TOPIC information loop.  They receive basic information about pastoral training activities.

Level Two
“Affiliation”

“Affiliation” participants include “information” level involvement, plus…periodic participation in discrete projects or programs that capitalize on a specific interest or expertise.

Level Three
“Coalition”

“Coalition” participants include “information” and “affiliation” level involvement, plus…active participation in strategies that seek to maximize the resources of multiple organizations to achieve the common goal.  Coalition partners assist in driving the agenda for the group, setting objectives, implementing action plans, and measuring results.  They commit resources of time, money and personnel.
